EVA has teamed up with Hello Kitty to create three of the world’s most talked about airplanes. What do you like in an airplane? Safety? Reliability? Cuteness...
This new luxurious A330 can carry up to thirty people in “Premium Laurel Class” and up to 279 passengers in economy. Each seat is equipped with a 15 inch touch screen ensuring passengers are never bored. They can watch TV, movies, browse photos, or listen to music. Passengers can also check connecting flight and gate information, arrival terminals, baggage carousel locations, as well as in-flight information. Premium class allows its passengers to lie completely flat, and their seats are a whooping 62 inches compared to the typical 32 inches in Economy Class.
So what exactly makes this plane a Hello Kitty plane? EVA is offering its passengers over 100 Hello Kitty amenities. Upon guests check in, a Hello Kitty boarding pass along with pink baggage stickers will be handed out. Once passengers are aboard the plane, they will find Hello Kitty headrest covers, utensils, cups, tissues, milk and water bottles, hand soap, lotion, yummy snacks, meals, and even ice cream. And yes, even the flight attendants are wearing Hello Kitty uniforms.
EVA’s Hello Kitty jets flies from Taipei to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul, Fukuoka, Tokyo, Sapporo, and Guam. In late May, EVA will be introducing two more jets into their fleets. These will be fully redone A330 jets, as opposed to the custom made jets already in the fleet.
While there is no schedule for international flights yet, we can only imagine that is next on the horizon for the Hello Kitty fleet!
