Having trouble finding clothes you want to wear this fall? Feel like everything in your closet is old? Going out with your friends and can’t find a thing to wear? You need to revamp your closet! Before you go shopping and spend a bunch of money you probably shouldn’t be spending… Carefully go through your closet to see what you can throw together for a perfect new outfit!
First of all, go through your closet and pull of everything you haven’t worn in the past year and a half. If you haven’t worn it in that time period, chances are you won’t now. Give them to your friends to go through, and then donate the rest to Goodwill. If you are having trouble deciding whether or not you should keep an item, think about the happiness it might give to someone else.
After your done cleaning out your closet, it is time to organize! By carefully placing your fall clothes in one area, coats and jackets in another, and so on and so on, you will be able to 1) visualize new outfits you would have never thought to put together before, and 2) see what you need to complete a few cute outfits with items you already have!
Once your cleaned out and organized, it is time to shop! Now that you know what you need, you can go shopping for a few select items. Knowing what you want to buy before you go shopping is key, it will prevent you from spending too much money and buying things you don’t need. Since you are organized, you can clearly see, “I have too many blouses and not enough sweaters, etc.”
Time to go shopping! Buy a few, classic items. These might be a bit more expensive than you wanted to spend, but they will last you years and will look good throughout the trends that come and go each season. A nice pair of boots with a nice jacket will never go out of style, keeping you warm and adorable all season long.
